MTD: For a Growing World.

CA Supply Chains Act

As a global leader in Outdoor Power Equipment, our corporate policy is to ensure we conduct business in a way that respects human rights and values. We respect human rights by ensuring non-discrimination in our personnel practices. We comply with the laws of the communities in which we serve.

MTD does not employ children or support the use of child labor. We believe that people should work because they want or need to, not because they are forced to do so. MTD prohibits the use of slavery and human trafficking. We require our suppliers to comply with MTD's policy. If a supplier fails to comply with our human rights requirements, especially in the areas of slavery and human trafficking, we will take appropriate action, which can include canceling all contracts and notifying local authorities of any suspect or confirmed illegal activity.

To that end, MTD is reviewing our existing supply chain policy to ensure that our supply chain is free of any products of forced labor, child labor, human trafficking and slavery. This policy will require direct suppliers to certify that materials incorporated into the product comply with the laws regarding slavery and human trafficking of the country or countries in which they are doing business. Our policy will also develop a more formal approach to auditing suppliers, maintaining internal and external accountability standards and procedures and will provide company employees and management, who have direct responsibility for supply chain management, training on forced labor, child labor, human trafficking and slavery.
