responsibility

MTD’s founders believed in being good stewards of the gifts with which they had been blessed, whether that be the business itself, their communities or the opportunities before them. As a result, stewardship has been a core value of MTD since its inception and remains an integral part of our corporate culture today.

We believe stewardship and responsibility go hand in hand so, at MTD, we strive to have a positive impact on the communities where we do business and to create products that improve the world around us. We embrace sustainable business practices by focusing on the future today, and we seek growth while maintaining a responsible capital structure.

Community

Whether it is inspiring people to care for a public garden or enjoy their own backyard with family and friends, partnering with local organizations or rallying behind a neighborhood in need, community is at the heart of all we do at MTD.

Our employees are active members of their communities, both individually and collectively, and philanthropic and community outreach activities are a regular part of life at each of our locations across the globe. In addition, MTD and our product brands partner with organizations through sponsorship and relationships that share the spirit of our purpose to inspire people to care for and enjoy the outdoors.

We also recognize our employees are an important part of their own communities as well as our MTD family. The MTD Employee Support Foundation provides assistance to employees and their families in times of need.

"I have learned that with success goes responsibility. If we grow in knowledge and experience, we are expected to increase our efforts for the betterment of mankind"
-Theo Moll, MTD Founder
