Engine runs erratic
|Possible Causes||Corrective Actions|
1Your mower is running with CHOKE activated
Pull the throttle/choke control lever rearward from the choke position
Spark plug wire(s) loose
Connect spark plug wire(s).
Blocked fuel line or stale fuel
Clean fuel line; full tank with clean fresh gasoline and replace fuel filter.
Vent in gas cap plugged
Clear vent or replaces cap if damaged.
Water or dirt in fuel system
Drain fuel tank. Refill with clean, fresh gas.
Dirty air cleaner
Replace air cleaner paper element or clean foam pre-cleaner (depending on your model).
